the iPhone 3GS and Me

Well the day has come, my new iPhone 3G S finally arrived after the notification email said it was suppose to be here on Wednesday the 17th but didn't arrive till Friday the 19th.

Glorious unpacking of the new box to see my new phone all wrapped nicely in plastic.

Nicely covered in plastic, on the phone to protect it from inside the box, I guess.

Pretty much packaged like the previous iPhone 3G, really don't see any changes on this at the moment. Actually the phone is an exact replica of its previous model.

The night of owning the photo I took the phone out for a spin at our local hooters as we were working on a video, yes working at hooters. Then also had the phone with me at the Toby Keith concert on saturday in which I took some videos and some photos with it and played around with a lot of the settings to see how it performed.

The conclusion I have come up with is that the phone is far faster and more responsive to applications and texting in general. Some of it is going to be because of the hardware upgrades but in general the new software does a lot for it over all.

Marc editing the video on his laptop.

Rachel looking at a photo Marc took with his phone, yes I put a B/W filter on the phone.

A photo of the video I recorded of our video being played on the laptop.. this is a screenshot.

Brier eating a cheeseburger w/ cheetos on it.. haha

Photo of us at the concert (L-R: Brock, Erica, Brier and myself).

Over all I am very pleased with the upgrade, there was a lot of things I wish that they added to the phone but I understand by adding everything we all want, there would be no need to future upgrading (well at least for awhile till the next latest and greatest thing comes along).

3rd and Final day of the IHRSA Show

Well everyone today was our final day of the IHRSA Trade Show and Convention. It was a rather slow day as the last day of every show seems to be. We have some potential leads from the entire show but won't know what will come of those leads till next week or further down the line this year.

Rob and Jerome were not here to work the booth today so that pretty much left Thijs and I alone to take care of all the customers that came into the booth. Josh and Dad were around to assist and watch the corners that we could not see very well.

We started tear down of the booth promptly at 2pm as we were instructed. We finished in about 6 hrs at 8pm but was still one of the last booths to complete their tear down. It was a long day in which I kind of wish we would just hire helpers to do the work and we can just show up for the show and leave after the show is over but that is not us, we are to involved.

We had to hire help again for the tear down of our walls portion inwhich they gave us two older gentleman that were better than the first two for setup but these two still were not up to our speed as for how fast and effecient we work. So after we got the walls done I went and signed them out.

On my way back to the booth I got to call my love Melanie and talked to her for few and so did dad as we switched phones so I could talk to mom and dad could talk to Melanie. She was having to go back into the hospital after being ready for bed, so i talked or messaged her up till nearly time for her to leave.

We then went off to Bucca di Beppo where we had dinner. In which the dinner we had was a small but let me tell you it was larger than anyone person can eat!

After dinner we walked back to the hotel with our left overs in hand in which we were looking for some homeless individuals that were down on their luck that we could give a nice meal. About half way back we seen 4-5 guys all huddling around their makeshift homes and Josh and I both gave our dinners to these guys and as we left more individuals came over for the feast. What we left would seriously feed 6-8 people or more. The guys were VERY happy and appreciative of our gesture and it made us feel good to help some of those down on their luck.

The internet connection again sucked from the Hotel Room so I have again ended up typing this on my phone. Let me tell you typing out lengthy emails on an iPhone is a pain in the ass!

Well tomorrow we fly out i am foing to try to sleep in a little bit then get up and hopefully get to talk to Melanie for a little bit before our flight leaves.

It has been rough on me to not be talking to her a large part of the day, so i am ready to get back home and back to normal! I am also glad that i did not go on a vacation this coming next week cause it would not have been an enjoyable trip.

IHRSA - Trade Show Day 2

Well today was the 2nd day of the IHRSA show, in which it was the long day of the three days of this show. Today we got there at around 10:00am and again I had to make yet another trip to the back dock where the guys are getting to know me well. Usually you have to be accompanied by someone that works there but the guys back there just see me and say “you know where you are going” which is comical to me. But I had to get another video player out because one of the two TV’s was not on a constant loop like it should be so I got that resolved this morning.

I then got online before the show started to chat it up with Melanie for a little bit while everyone was huddled around the chairs talking about their evenings out and what we wanted to accomplish for the day.

A little bit into the show started we went to lunch; Josh, Dad and I and we watched sports and again while I was there I was chatting with Melanie again. We have been separated too long and I have to get online to chat with her when I can, just going to be that way. So anyways we ate lunch then we get back to the show and the guys decide to go off to visit some of the sights while I stayed back and work the booth.

We had a lot of potential come through the booth now whether any of it comes to actual sells only time will tell. I have some high hopes for some of these deals because it would be nice to recoup some of the costs of this show by making some sells. There was a little bit of foot traffic through the booth today over yesterday and tomorrow is going to probably be dead quiet. But anyways today we had some of our competitors come by to talk with us in general and a couple of them will be contacting me for some older parts for beds and what not.

Rob and I discussed some changes to some components/parts and we discussed the website and what I plan to do with our website that will be beneficial to his company as a whole in the long run. He was also curious about me making him a customized version of my video commercials that he can send out to customers so I will get with him later on that to work out something for him.

Today was our last day of Jerome being here before he fly’s back to China and Rob has an install to do so he will be leaving early tomorrow but will be in. So we said our good bye’s to Jerome at the end of the day and also to Rob.

Tonight instead of going back to the room we went straight to dinner at a place called the Jazz Kitchen which had fairly good food but lousy reception. I was talking to Melanie online and the phone service went from full service at 3G to searching to no service and then would not even go to Edge Service, it was very much a nuisance because I did not get to talk to her to say good night and I also did not get to have any forms of communications with her.

So this day is ending on a sad and sour note mainly cause I could not finish it up with talking to Melanie. And also my dress shoes have officially fallen apart, I think I need a size 13 ½ or 14 depending on what I have because they seem to have been beaten up inside by my feet and my feet seem to be scrunched into these shoes.

Well one more short day of the show to go, so we shall see how it turns out.

IHRSA - Trade Show Day 1

Well kiddies today was the first day of the IHRSA trade show and convention. This day started out with us getting there about 2 hrs ahead of time and trying to finish set things up. I ran into some problems with video and audio. So I had to keep making trips to the back dock for access storage to get into our show crate. We finally got everything setup and ready to go for the show.

Dad and Josh went ahead and left to go to lunch while I stayed behind to help Thijs with monitoring the booth and talking to customers. I was given an incentive to sell stuff that was comical and cool at the same time and we shall see how this whole trade show plays out. I was going to wait around for Rob and Jerome to show up to help work the booth so I could go eat, well they both showed up late and everything so I never went to get anything to eat all day.

The day was fairly long and eventful to a point; there was X-Pole US here which had girls twirling up and down the pole doing different pole techniques which got A LOT of attention from the males and females. There was nearly everyone in work out cloths, spandex, etc which to a lot of people was a sight to see. We had a couple of ladies riding stationary bikes the entire time that were right across from where our booth was and our love seat and chairs and they would just peddle along and watch us.

After the show day, Thijs and I went over and looked at some of the competitors equipment and then we all kind of split up to go our own ways. Dad, Josh and I went back to the room so that we could get changed, wash up and get ready for dinner. This was a great opportunity for us to call mom (Janet) and then both dad and I got to talk to Melanie on the phone, dad's second time of talking to my darling girlfriend.

So after this was all done we went down and met Josh in the lobby and we went to a steak restaurant called John's Grill. Josh was really craving a steak and I could go for one also at this point. So we ate there then we ventured down to Coldstone Ice Cream and got some ice cream then also got some drinks and snacks from a local Walgreens. We ended up giving a few dollars away to some homeless individuals and heading back to our hotel.

Then we split up from Josh and dad and I went back to the room and spent a majority of the night watching a little bit of dancing with the stars and American idol but mainly talking about the day and of work as we always do. Another hot or long conversation we always have is about Melanie or whatever else I am doing.

So over all this day went well, again got to talk to Melanie some, throughout the day and got to meet up with some fellow colleagues from around the world. Seen some odd sights like the above photo of the sex swing and there was a lot of homeless people as shown below.

So till tomorrow, this is kind of all I have to say for this evening and hopefully tomorrow I have some more things to say.

I think I can, I think I can.

Hello everyone today was our 2nd day of setup and our final day of setup for the IHRSA trade show. We were hoping it would be a quick day in which we would be done by noon, which was not the case. We finally got done at the booth at around 4:00pm and then by the time we found a print shop for some materials we were approaching 5pm. This was a little tough on my dad who is use to eating at certain times of the day and not going an entire day working hard and not eating at all.

We ran into several issues with power and using our step up transformers but I quickly resolved that by finding a local radio shack and working my magic on the beds. We also had some others issues which included some of the tanning equipment and the audio system that I was trying to get setup. But at the end of the day everything worked, just took some thinking and not getting upset with everything.

We found a small run down restaurant where we stopped and ate and talked about how we were as children and minded our parents. Getting each other’s insight and experiences and then from there we went into City Hall an looked around for awhile and taking in some of the sights. After that then Josh and dad went back to the hotel after stopping at a Walgreens. Thijs and I went into the Mac Store which was my first experience doing this and then went into the Oakley store to look at my expensive pair of glasses that are now missing in action. I got to also talk to my Love Melanie on our way back to the Hotel which was really nice to hear her voice.

Outside the city hall building.

Inside view of all the time well spent artwork and craftmanship.

Tonight I had to finalize my video commercials for the show and find some music for the show. So I am ending this with that being done finally and I am going to bed.

I wish everyone a wonderful evening and an enjoyable St. Patricks day.

Come let me close your eyes

So today was our 1st day of setup for the IHRSA health and fitness show. We got to the location at around 8:30am and proceeded to put booth. We started to unpack everything and ran into "teamsters" or Union problems of needing to hire assistance. I have no problem of ever complying with the rules in regulations but they all work at a slow yet steady pace.

So we worked through all that with hiring two individuals who were ok for the most part. We kept them till about 2pm shock if they worked to atleast half our pace we would have only needed them till probably 11am. So after 2pm we took a break to go get something to eat and watch the end of the Purdue vs. Ohio game.

We worked till about 9pm tonight and only have a couple hours of work tomorrow which should be nice we can get a lot done early and have the rest of the day to do what we want which is some sight seeing.

We also seen some sights as we walked around looking for dinner.

Gentleman's Club

Here is where we ate... Good pizza!

Sadly a lot of homeless people....

Well till next time I bid you all a great day!
